A2 Media Survey & Results

A2 Media Questionnaire

I managed to create a questionnaire on SurveyMonkey as part of the plan to plan for my music video. There are 10 questions that needed to be answered and will be given to 20 respondents. The purpose of this questionnaire is to gain feedback from respondents in order to improve the plan and production our music video.

Here's how the questionnaire looks like:

This is the link for people to answer the questions provided.

The link above was sent to people via email and once they completed it, SurveyMonkey will give me the results posted on my profile page.

Open Questions:

What ideas come to your head when you think of the word 'money'?
For this question the majority of people said they think of  'shopping' when they think of money. I believe the reason why 'shopping' is the first thing that comes to their mind is mainly because many of the respondents were teenagers and they always have a demand for 'more stuff' such as clothes and shoes etc. Other people said 'fame' and 'power' which were good ones as well.

What do you expect to see in a music video that involves 'money' ?
The respondents usually said that they expect to see things such as 'good cars', 'jewellery', 'good clothing' and 'expesive assets'. With this, I can imply that my respondants like to see the wealth and riches of assets when theres money to spend. So for our music video, we need to try and see how best we can implement the assets that come with being rich.

How do you access music videos?
The majority of the respondents said that they access music videos on YouTube. They say that this is the easiest way to access music videos as they are able to search any music video and play it to their enjoyment. A very few people said that they access music videos on the TV which suggests that everyone has taken advantage of the new media.

Permission Letter For Music Video

Dear Capitol Records,

My partner and I are A-level students studying A2 Media. We are writing to you as a group to inform and ask you if you can grant us permission to use one of your tracks that we are interested in, in order to make our music video our own for our coursework. We want to use the track, 'Money on My Mind' for our music video we are going to produce in the future.

With your permission, we would be able to use your track without any restrictions and doubts for our A2 media coursework, and we will solely use it for educational purposes ONLY and will be viewed by our media peers and friends in the classroom, our media teacher, and our exam board for them to evaluate and mark.

When we finish making our music video with the track playing in the background alongside the video, we will make sure that we put your name on the video at the end to show appreciation and credit for allowing us to use one of your tracks. We are serious about making this music video and we will put our mind and creativity into our own style and version of our video. We believe that we will gain popularity among the target audience; therefore, making our music video a successful hit.

We hope you understand, and we hope that you can allow us to use your track, it will make us really happy and excited.

Yours Sincerely,

Enoch Bugyei
